I felt like this might be a good time to list some of the most desirable traits in men. You would really think that it’s a simple thing, that women just want smart, rich guys. Well, that’s not true. When a group of women were asked, “what is the trait you most desire in a guy?” by a group of researchers, “beefiness” came in last place, money came in third-from-last and you know what bested intelligence? Three different traits that, if you’re reading this, you are likely to have.

So without further ado, the most desirable traits that women want in a man!

1. The ability to keep a woman entranced in your conversation was more highly ranked than both muscles and money. When you can keep a woman entertained by talking about something unique and then sparking a conversation, you are one step closer to her heart.
2. Women value how charming a guy is over his wallet size almost any day. When you’re looking to go out and find a women to date, you need to show her that you can be charming. You can do that by simply smiling, relaxing and carrying yourself  the right way. If you’re having trouble doing this, just think about how you felt when you did something that made yourself proud. You know when you aced that last test in your class in school or when you did something admirable? Copy those feelings and stand tall and proud. I can’t stress enough how one of the most desirable traits is a man who can be charming and appear confident.
3. Dress up just a bit. We women love a man who knows how to dress. Some of this might include combing your hair, putting a little  bit of hair gel in your hair and styling it, or just use some water. Make sure your clothes are something above a red t-shirt and a pair of jeans. Don’t get me wrong, you can get away with a red t-shirt and a pair of jeans, but you are much better off by dressing in something that’s a little bit sharper, just don’t overdo it.

I ended up giving her some tips that worked for her. First, I told her that she was basically dating the types of guys that I would put in the “losers” column. The biggest problem with her dating strategy was that she was looking for “easy dates.” When you don’t put any effort into dating, you basically sow what you reap.

In order to effectly put some effort into dating guys, you need to seriously weed out the bad ones. Don’t go out with a guy who’s rude, impatient, controlling or demanding. If you do something like go to a museum, there’s a trick you can use: Stop and look at a painting. If he keeps following you, then that’s a bad sign. If he walks off and you lose eyesight of him, that’s another sign. but if he walks off to look at another painting but is still within eyesight, then you’ve got a potential winner.

The next big tips in my tips for dating guys is that while 90% of dating consists of weeding out the bad dates, 10% of it is still the actual date. If you’re with a guy who is entertaining, then you’re doing good. There’s three categories you can rate any guy on while on a date with him: his humor, his charm and most importantly, how willing he is to pay for something.

The ideal guy is outstanding in all three of these categories, not just one. A rich guy can easily be willing to pay for dinner, but he can be boring and charmless. So therefore, don’t exclude the middle-class guy who’s willing to pay for dinner, make you laugh and have a great smile. Don’t settle for less, but don’t over-inflate your ego, either.

Now for my biggest and most important of my tips for dating guys, you need to find a guy that you like. Sounds obvious, doesn’t it? But if you look for a guy based on what kind of job he has, what kind of salary he gets (or if he works for a salary job at all), or how tall he is, you’ll generally end up losing. If you look for a guy who shares your interests, shares your likes and dislikes to some degree and makes you jump for joy if he invites you on another date, then you’re doing well! This is the big thing I told my friend in order to make her start to find some good dates she didn’t end up being footed the bill for dinner.

That’s about it for my dating tips. When it comes to guys, don’t settle for less but don’t try to keep every single guy away. It’s a touch-and-go kind of game, but once you do it enough, you’ll get the hang of it. Don’t give up! Just try not to get stuck footing the bill too often.
